Real suede is why you never wear the one you own.

Water marks it. A palm print sits on it for a week. It cannot go near a machine and it costs more to clean than most people paid for it — so it lives in the closet and comes out twice a year.

This is brushed polyester with the hand of suede and none of that. Spot clean it, and put it back on.

Open over a knit. Zipped over a dress.

A ribbed collar, ribbed cuffs and a ribbed hem hold the shape at three points, which is what lets the body be cut generous without going shapeless.

So it works open over a sweater and closed over something fitted. It keeps its outline either way, and you did not have to arrange anything to get it.

Questions people ask before they buy

What size should I take?

Oversized by design. Take your usual size for the drop you see in the photos, one down if you want it closer to the body. There is room for a knit underneath at your usual size.
Is it actually suede?

No, and we would rather say so. It is 100% polyester brushed to a suede hand — the surface and the softness, without the part where you cannot wear it in case it rains.
What happens if it gets wet?

Light rain will not mark it the way real suede does; let it dry away from a radiator and the nap comes back. It is not a raincoat, though — standing rain will soak through like any unlined jacket.
Is it warm?

It is a shoulder-season jacket. Over a tee it carries a mild day; over a knit it carries a cold one. It is not lined for winter.
How do I clean it?

Spot clean with a barely damp cloth and let it dry flat. No machine, no dryer. A soft brush lifts the nap again if it flattens where a bag strap sat.
Can I return or exchange it?

Yes — thirty days from the day it lands on your doorstep. Anything damaged or defective is replaced or refunded in full, and we won’t ask you to ship it back.
