What size should I take?

It runs large. Take one size down from your usual for the fit in the photos, or stay at your usual if you want it properly oversized. We would rather tell you here than have you send it back.
How heavy is it?

It is a light knit, not a thick one. That is what makes it layer without bulk — and it also means it is a fall and indoor set rather than something you wear against real cold on its own.
Can I wear the pieces separately?

Yes, and that is most of the value. The top goes over jeans, the trousers go under any knit. Apart, neither one reads as half of a set.
Is it see-through?

In the lighter colors, held up to a window, a little. In normal daylight and worn, no. If that would bother you, the darker colors are the safer pick.
Does the top match the trousers exactly?

Yes — same knit, same dye lot, same weight. That is the point of buying it as a set rather than trying to match two separates.
