The top edge is knit too, so there is no stiff rim at your shin. The pull tab at the back is there for the last inch.

The sole is a chunky lug, the kind with deep treads you can see from across the street. The heel is a low block, not a spike.

Khaki: spray it with a protector before the first wear, then brush off dry dirt. Black: wipe with a barely damp cloth.
