Description

A fine-rib knit trouser with a shirred elastic waist and nothing to fasten — as comfortable as loungewear, cut like a real trouser.

Warm without weight, and cropped just above the ankle. Autumn's easiest thing to put on.

Care

Care

Cold wash. Reshape and dry flat.

It was never your shape.

Trousers cling and ride up for one reason: a hard waistband sits in one place while the rest of you moves. So the fabric has to go somewhere, and it goes up.

A shirred elastic waist moves with you instead of holding a line against you. Nothing to fasten, nothing to unbutton at the end of the day, nothing to tug back down at four o’clock.

Soft waist. Sharp line.

The waist is the comfortable part. The leg is not: it falls straight and stops just above the ankle, which is the line a tailored trouser makes.

That is the whole trick — the part nobody sees is the part that gives, and the part everyone sees is the part that holds.

What you are actually getting

  • Shirred elastic waist — no button, no zip, no digging
  • Straight leg, cropped at the ankle — works with flats and with a heel
  • Ten colors — five from the palette, five seasonal
  • S to XXL — true to size
  • Machine washable — cold, dry flat

Thirty days, and a human on the other end.

Wear it. Live with it for a month.

If it isn’t right, tell us inside thirty days — a person answers, usually the same day, always within one business day. No form, no ticket number, no explaining yourself twice.

Questions people ask before they buy

What size should I take?

True to size. The waist is elastic, so it forgives a half size in either direction — take your usual and the leg will fall where it does in the photos.

Do they actually stay put, or do they ride up?

That is the reason the waist is shirred rather than banded. A hard waistband anchors in one spot and the fabric climbs; an elastic one travels with you. It is the single most common complaint about this kind of trouser and it is the thing we would not compromise on.

Are they see-through when I sit down?

Not in the darker colors. In the lightest shades, under strong direct light, a little — so if you wear them to work under fluorescents, take one of the deeper colors.

Do they have pockets?

Yes. Real ones, in the side seam, deep enough for a phone.

Can I dress them up?

That is what the straight leg and the cropped ankle are for. With a flat they read casual; with a heel and a collar they read like a tailored trouser. The elastic waist is the only part that is not dressy, and it is the part nobody sees.

Ten colors is a lot. Where do I start?

Black and Navy disappear into everything and are the ones you will wear most. Burgundy and Khaki are the ones that make the outfit. The rest are seasonal.

Can I return or exchange them?

Yes — thirty days from the day they land on your doorstep. Anything damaged or defective is replaced or refunded in full, and we won’t ask you to ship it back.

the drape on these is actually insane?? normally wide leg pants make me look swallowed up, but these sit so nicely at the waist. lightweight, breathable, and so easy to style with just a graphic tee. 10/10 fit.
