Questions people ask before they buy
What size should I take? Does it run small or large?
Your usual US size — half sizes are in the run. Mesh flats run small because the net has no give and the strap is stiff; this one is knit and the strap is elastic, so there is no need to size up, wide foot or long toes included. The number inside the shoe is the European size, not the US one — it will not match what you ordered, and that is normal. If it still lands wrong, a person swaps it inside thirty days.
Will it pinch the top of my foot or cut into my heel?
That is what a net does: a stiff strap, hard trim at the heel, no stretch — the two complaints in almost every mesh-flat review. This one is knit to the edge, the strap is elastic, and nothing hard is bound at the topline. If it pinches anyway, tell us — that is what the thirty days are for.
Does it actually breathe?
Yes — the knit is open, and air goes through it the way it goes through a sandal. At 95 in the sun every closed shoe sweats; this one just sweats less. It is not a cure for a heat wave. It is a flat you can keep on in July.
Is the knit flimsy? Will it snag?
It is a knit, so a nail or a splinter can pull a loop — the way it can on a sock. The sole is rubber, the strap is elastic, and the whole thing is covered for thirty days: if it comes apart, it is replaced or refunded in full, and we won’t ask you to ship it back.
Can people see my feet through it? Do I need a pedicure?
You can see the shape of your foot — that is the look. If you do not love seeing your foot every time you look down, this is not your flat, and we would rather you knew that before it arrives.
How thin is the sole? Is there arch support?
Thin, with a padded, quilted footbed and no contoured arch. It is a sheer summer flat, not a walking shoe: the office, dinner, the beach town, yes; ten miles of cobblestones, no. If you want a flat that carries you all day, The Paris Flat is the one built for that.
Will it stay on my heel?
The strap is elastic and sits across the instep, so the foot has nowhere to go — that is what it is for. Most heels come out of mesh flats because the buyer sized up to escape the pinch; take your usual size here and let the strap do the rest.
Can I wear it with socks? Is it only a summer shoe?
May to October bare; after that, a sheer or thin sock slides in — the knit gives, so the sock does not fight the strap. Black with a sheer black sock and wide jeans is a fall shoe. A thick sock does not fit, and we would not pretend it does.
Can I return or exchange it?
Yes — thirty days from the day it lands on your doorstep. Wrong size, wrong color, changed your mind: tell us and a person sorts it out. Anything damaged or defective is replaced or refunded in full, and we won’t ask you to ship it back.
