Questions people ask before they buy
What size should I take?
Order your usual US shoe size, using the list under Size & fit. Each size covers a short range, women’s and men’s, with a little room at the toe already counted in. At the very end of your range, or in thick socks, take the next size up.
Will my toes have enough room?
Your toes sit under the curly toe, against a short faux fur lining. Each size is listed with the longest foot it fits, from the factory chart. If you are at the very end of that length, or you wear thick socks at home, take the next size up. The back is open, so going up a size won’t squeeze your heel.
Will my heel slip out of the back?
On a backless slipper, that happens when the pair is too long for your foot. That’s why each size lists the longest foot it fits: take the size whose length is closest to your foot without being shorter. If your heel lifts out when you walk, exchange them for the size below within 30 days of delivery.
What’s the sole like?
Flat and off-white, with a fine wave pattern underneath, stitched on all around. There’s no memory foam, and we’d rather say it now: under the curly footbed sits an EVA insole, and the softness you feel comes from the curls and the lining. We don’t call it non-slip either: on wet tile or polished stairs, take it slow, like with any slipper.
Do the curls shed or flatten?
Curly faux fur is a pile. It can leave a few fibers, and it flattens where your foot presses most, on the footbed first. We won’t promise it never does. A soft brush now and then helps the curls stand up again, and anything that arrives damaged or defective is on us.
Will they keep my feet warm?
The toe is closed, lined with faux fur, and the footbed is covered with curls. It’s a warm house slipper for cool floors, not a snow boot.
Can my partner wear them?
Yes. The three largest sizes fit a men’s US 6 to 8.5, listed under Size & fit. Above a men’s US 8.5, they will be too short. For him, Gray and Black are the quiet choices, and every color comes in every size.
New York, Courchevel or Teddy?
The New York Slipper is open at the toe, with two curly straps: for a warm house and toes that like air. The Courchevel Slipper is faux suede with a faux fur collar around the ankle. The New York Teddy Slipper is curly faux fur that closes over your toes: for the mornings your toes are the cold part.
Which color should I pick?
Coral is a soft, warm coral, close to salmon. Taupe is a light sandy taupe. Cream is a warm off-white and shows dust first. Gray is a warm dark gray, close to charcoal. Black is black. All five have a cream lining and an off-white sole.
Can I return or exchange them?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, unworn and in their packaging: an exchange for another size or color, or store credit for the full amount. Return shipping is on you. Anything that arrives damaged or defective is on us, and we won’t ask you to send it back.
